A gabion is a wire-mesh basket filled with stone on site: a flexible, free-draining gravity structure. Box gabions for retaining walls and slope toes; mattresses (reno type) for river beds, banks and slope faces. We weave the hexagonal double-twist mesh in our own factory and deliver every batch with a test report.

Choose the form
Box gabion for retaining walls, stepped fills and slope toes; mattress for river beds, culvert outlets, banks and slope faces exposed to scour.

Mesh opening, wire diameter and coating follow EN 10223-3 / EN 10244-2; in marine or industrial atmospheres choose Galfan or the PVC-coated wire.
Hexagonal double-twist mesh (Turkish) →Stone and filter
Natural, hard, frost-resistant stone larger than the mesh opening; a geotextile filter behind retaining structures; exposed faces hand-placed.
Slope stabilization →Install and accept
Baskets assembled on site, corners and neighbours laced, bracing wires per layer, lids laced; acceptance checks mesh, wire, coating, lacing and stone. Measured in m³ (boxes) or m² (mattresses).
